We took a team of 12 qualifying divers to compete in the 2022 National Skills Finals, that was held in Leeds this year.
The divers were brilliant and ADC showed very strong performances in all events entered. See the video in the post for highlights of each event. At this competition the Top 6 get certificates, and Top 3 get medals representative of the position they came.

All the divers performed absolutely fantastic in and out the pool this trip. For the majority of them it was their first overnight away trip with the team, and the chaperones and coaches couldn't have been more impressed with them throughout the 3 days. It was a very long, and sweaty, journey there and back on a small minibus but they didn’t cause a fuss and just got on with it.
On the away trips, we always have a star diver award. This trip there were two divers who stood out, Mia Pritchard and Isla Berry. Mia dived her socks off and claimed the Bronze medal in a very tough event. Not only did she dive well, she was in a room with 3 of the younger girls and she supported them wherever they needed and was great at helping to keep them organised on their first away trip. Isla also not only dived well, but when she did the wrong dive in the competition, she conducted herself like a professional athlete and didn't let it phase her mid-competition. She kept her focus on what she had to do next and finished the competition well managing to still come 9th out of a massive group of 27 divers. Congratulations Mia & Isla.
